About
"Deriva Litoral"is the second published poetry book of the portuguse author Carlos Alberto Braga. It was written in 1984, but it was only published in 1989, two years after his first book, "As Margens do Murmúrio". "Deriva Litoral" was distinguished with an honourable mention and was proposed to edition by the jury of the Portuguse Writers Association,1984 Revelation Prize. In 1988, it was also distinguished with a prize created by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. António Cândido Franco - doctor in Portuguese literature, professeur at Évora University and also a poete, novelist and essayist - perhaps the most profound analist of Carlos Alberto Braga poetry, wrote - on the postface of the third book of the poet, "As Imperecíveis Águas"- that "Deriva Litoral" is "...a long divagation around the water and the shores, what makes me think on the bachlardian caracther of the work".
