From Ty Mawr to Two Bar

**This is a VERY interesting read of Canadian pioneer, prairie, life**, and the **biography of A. Katharine Francis**. Born at 2 a.m., Sunday, October 29, 1893, in **Wales, Great Britain**, Alice Katharine Francis **[nee: Garnons Williams]** and her husband, Charles **Philip** Montagne **Francis** [**son of Dr. George Philip Francis** - **Beacon, Wales,** whom delivered Katherine into the world] **emigrated to Canada in 1923** and **ranched together on the Two Bar Ranch from 1925 until his death in 1966**. She continued to ranch with children, Garnons **PHILIP FRANCIS**[m.Anna Watt] and **RUTH** Mary Bolelyn **FRANCIS**, until 1971 when Katharine and daughter Ruth retired to a two acre site, 1/2 mile east of **Virden, MB**. Also born to this union, was KATHARINE Elizabeth NEWTON {nee Francis].
