About
Family history and genealogical inforation about the descendants of William Thomas Fairburn who was born ca. 1795 in England. He became a Christian Missionary and married Sarah Tuckwell in Australia. They immigrated to New Zealand aboard the ship "General Gates" and arrived in Rangihoua, Bay of Islands Co., New Zealand 12 August 1819. Sarah died 3 September 1843 and William married Elizabeth Newman. William was the father of six sons and four daughters. Descendants lived primarily in New Zealand and Australia.
