About
The product of a collaboration between Walther König, Dirimart, and Norgunk publishers, the artist book is the most comprehensive publication embracing the oevre of the eminent global contemporary artist Ayse Erkmen from 1969 to date. The catalogue raisonée takes the catalogue published in the context of the exhibition Ayse Erkmen Weggefährten (Walther König, Köln, 2008) as a base, deepens and extends it covering her entire work of last decade as well. Different than Weggefährten following a chronological order, the catalogue is structured based on themes. It is possible to come across a particular work under different themes with different connections and intersections. Over 500 colored images of the artist's works are accompanied by text fragments.
