Alphabetical list of the officers of the Bengal army

A list of the officers of the East India Company's Bengal Army from its earliest days until it was dismantled and became part of the British Army. The list is **not** truly alphabetical, so one has to check all the names of the officers grouped under the initial letter and in the sequence each officer was accepted into the East India Company's army in Bengal. The date each officer was acceted as a cadet, and the dates of each subsequent promotion are shown - as are the frequent deaths.
