Documents comprising the record of the inquest held in 1888 by the Coroner of the City of London on Catherine Eddowes, one of the victims of Jack the Ripper. These letters are primarily written by members of the public to the City of London Police at the time of the murders in the East End. Also includes letters of acknowledgement as well as newscuttings and visiting cards. A number of letters are actually signed, 'Jack the Ripper' or 'Ripper.'
