Where Our Stories Meet is a beautifully illustrated children’s book inspired by a real friendship between two students from different parts of the world. Alizae lives in California and Thando lives in Johannesburg, South Africa. When their schools connect through a partnership, the two begin exchanging letters and imagining what life is like in each other’s worlds. As their friendship grows, they discover that even though their daily lives look very different, their dreams, curiosity, humor, and kindness are remarkably the same. This story celebrates empathy, global connection, and the idea that stories have the power to bring people together across cultures and continents. Through a Buy One, Give One model, each book purchased helps place books into the hands of children served by the Kliptown Youth Program (KYP) in South Africa.
