The United Dry Forces of North Carolina collected statements by leading citizens and officials of several counties attesting to an increase in drinking and related offenses with the opening of county liquor control stores in Craven, Edgecombe, Franklin, Martin, Nash, Onslow, Vance, Warren and Wilson counties. Included are two tables that show the number of arrests before and after the stores opened.
