The Sam S. Shubert Theatre. "A Thousand Years Ago," a romance of the Orient by Percy MacKaye. Devised and produced under the direction of J.C. Huffman, interpretative music by William Furst. The play is an original comedy suggested by the Persian romance in "The Thousand and One Days," wherein are recited the adventures of Calaf, Prince of Astrakhan, and Turandot, the beautiful Princess of Pekin. Scenery built by James Surridge, scenery painted by H. Robert Law Studios, costumes by Eaves Costume Co.,, Max & Mahieu and Madame McDonough, shoes by Wah Tai Co., properties by James Caldwell and Max Davis.
