Leo Copers (geb. Gent, 1947) kan zonder twijfel gerekend worden tot de sleutelfiguren die de hedendaagse kunst in België beïnvloed hebben. Copers' oeuvre is poëtisch, bevat vaak kunsthistorische referenties en tast de grenzen tussen werkelijkheid, droom en wetenschap af. Zijn werk is voor veel jongere kunstenaars een bron van inspiratie geweest en maakt deel uit van verschillende prestigieuze privé- en publieke collecties, zowel in binnen- als buitenland. Dreams are Made of This biedt een overzicht van een indrukwekkende vijftigjarige carrière (1968-2018) en is, alleen al daarom, een uniek historisch document.
