Luchas y autodeterminación social en Oaxaca

Studies roots of modern-day social movements in two experiences of urban resistance in Oaxaca state capital, both focusing on conflict over land for housing and later, urban services. Central argument is that both reveal struggle for social self-determination and for forms of organization that restore communities' capacity to decide on matters directly affecting their lives.
