Lower Canada became known as Canada East in 1841 then Québec in 1867. The synod of the "Presbyterian Church of Canada in connection with the Church of Scotland" was formed in 1831. It was composed of four presbyteries: Quebec, Bathurst, Glengarry and York. This book focuses on the Quebec Presbytery.
