Includes full-page frontispiece portrait of Colley Cibber, signed "Vanloo pinx: J.S. Miller Sc:." Signatures in pencil "R.K. Hoke, Baltimore, 1937."
The ‘list of dramatic authors and their works,’ by bookseller/publisher and play-prompter turned theatrical manager and novelist William Rufus Chetwood (ca. 1688-1766), was also published separately in the same year under the title ‘Theatrical Records.’ It includes many forgeries.
