Based off the underground release of Success Story: In Search of Hip Hop, Carrying the Wait is the written, lyrical expression of a young man bearing the weight of his people and their experience. As we all are waiting for something to come into our lives, this book tells the story of a boy becoming a man carrying the weight, but not waiting for something to come to him while learning how to live life. This is hip hop, the story of my life.
