When Wille Browne, a young boy, needs money to help his poor, widowed mother pay the rent, his friend has an inspirition which is to change the lives of the Brownes and many others. Willie, with his affectionate mother's reluctant consent, already a Promoter of devotion to the Sacred Heart, becomes a little newsboy. These two works he comnbines, and many fallen or falling away Catholics find their not only their newspaper, but faith revived by their little apostle on crutches. Despite his disability, Wille works hard, and finds a special place in the hearts of many. Many exciting adventures are crowned by the mysterious prayer intention of his wealthy doctor friend, whose wife and son left him many years before. Through the fervant prayers of the Brownes, especiaaly those of Willie on the day of his first Communion, hopes are rising that the doctor mught once more be reuinited with his long sought-after family. Little lame Wille Browne is sure to become a favorite among the many other treasured children heroes.
