About
This is a lovely coming-of-age novel set in French Canada. A sensitive Catholic boy studies in a grammar school run by nuns. The novel offers very little action, but is rich in introspection. Unfortunately, LES CORRIDORS, published in 1960, is out of print, but can be found in many public or university libraries.
The author, Gilles Desjardins, wrote a few other novels that have never been published. They are gay-themed, and are written from the heart. Hopefully, one day the right publisher will discover them.
