About
This book describes the history of making pottery and tilekilns in Falkenberg that is a small town situated in the west coast of Sweden. It also describes the history of Törngrens krukmakeri (Thörngrens pottery) that started in 1789 and is still working with a small traditional production of redware. Bengt Törngren is the last potter (7 generations) in the workshop and also the last Swedish potter with a Master degree based on the old system of practical education. Bengt started throwing when he was about nine years old.
