What binds, what makes, what breaks

This zine contains "essays, stories, and moments" on identity, place, and power written during Claire's time in Chiapas, Tlaxcala, and Mexico City. Claire encourages readers to compare the stories of violence experienced by multiple groups and to think about the power of resistance and dismantling of power structures in a fight for justice and dignity. Claire writes about the US-Mexico border, sex workers organizing, the Zapatistas, the Bracero program, cultural appropriation, and land reclamation. There is a section of the zine about community accountability and survivor support.
