For years, Hrafnkell Sigurðsson has been one of the most interesting artists in Iceland, not the least because of how he works with the medium of photography. His photographic series are known beyond people who are interested in art. Hrafnkell is constantly developing his imagery, from the very smallest details to the vasteness of Icelandic nature as well as man-made landscapes in cities and towns where garbage bags and snowpiles form natural sculptures.
