Zum Ewigen Frieden

This book deals with the concept of international law according to Kant and Rawls. The author shows that acting reasonably, in the sense of Kantian moral and political philosophy, can also satisfy the requirements of the public and the law. The focus of the discussion is on the fundamental conditions of international law, to which the theories of the social contract and of the public pertain. Beyond that, the author deals with the application of these conditions to the Kantian trichotomy, and shows, based on this trichotomy, that Kantian moral and political philosophy offer a possible basis for the solution of international problems.
