The Rossetti Infant-Toddler Language Scale

This book by Louis Rossetti is the manual for administration and scoring of a well-respected assessment tool the author developed for Speech Language Pathologists to use in evaluating communication skills of children aged 0 to 36 months. To perform the assessment the evaluator uses a 15-page question booklet to record information about the child's communication skills. The information is gathered through a structured parent interview and by engaging the child in specific play activities. Six different areas are explored: Interaction-Attachment, Pragmatics, Gesture, Language Comprehension, and Language Expression. The manual gives the evaluator detailed instructions on how to conduct the interview.
