About
1917 à Mondeville, près de Caen, une usine produit pour la première fois de l'acier. La Société Métallurgique de Normandie (SMN), à peine son lancement annoncé, son personnel est appelé sur le front. Puis, la Seconde Guerre mondiale, en mobilisant les ouvriers, en rasant l'usine et la cité ouvrière, allait nécessiter une reconstruction matérielle et humaine. A l'automne 1991 retentit l'annonce de la fermeture. Qui sont les mille ouvriers qui vont "terminer" l'usine en 1993 et devront chercher un nouvel emploi ?
