About
Thin paperback booklet with full color illustrated pages inside. The illustrations show the exterior views of the homes, with the floor plans as well as an illustration of a room inside. The inside front and back covers are white pages with full text and two black and white photographs. The front and back covers are also fully illustrated and colored. The front cover has the title "Home and Garden" at the top, an illustration of a home in the center, and the name of the distributing company: "Argo-Summit Lumber Company" in Illinois. The back cover has a plan and illustration for "The Daytona" house plan. (Side note: Upon investigation into other catalogs with this title, it appears that the editions may have been printed alphabetically by the name of the house? This edition has "D" houses.) This copy shows discoloration on the covers, as well as several small rips and tears along the edges. Size: 8.5" x 11.25"

From antiquehomestyle.com: "The William A. Radford company sold a number of books under their name, but also provided their plans to lumber dealers and builders for distribution to customers. Many of those books are unattributed, but they are easy to identify by comparing the plans with the books and American Builder magazine which was in publication for several decades.... and a 1924 brochure distributed by the Argo-Summit Lumber Company of Argo, Illinois."
