Saul, Solomon, and Asa, the Kings Who Disappointed God

These three kings started well, but they disappointed God later in their lives. It is one thing to start well; and it is another thing to end well. Both your starting and your ending are very important; but ending well is more important for you. If you start well with God and in the things of His Kingdom, this is very commendable; but if you draw back to live a life which displeases God, you will lose everything, except you repent and come back to God. These three kings – Saul, Solomon and Asa − backslidded from God; and Saul and Solomon greatly backslidded in their hearts, which led to their doing great evil works in the latter days of their lives.
