About
Ember was a puppy bought as a Christmas present; soon she became too much hard work for the little boy and his mother. Bewildered and unwanted, she was passed on to another home, where she settled down. But a few months later, her owner was in a terrible car accident. In the commotion, she fled in terror. A shop owner recognised her and took her in, but before long, she became a total annoyance to him and his wife, who persuades her husband to dump the puppy along the motorway. Lost, frightened, and alone, she wandered aimlessly until she met a wild fox, who reluctantly tried to help her find her way back to a friendly farm. They became separated, and just as they were reunited, she slipped along a dangerous waterfall, and everything went black.
