About
In 2017, in response to calls for submissions published in a range of social and other media, 302 artist sent in pictorial material and documentation for consideration. The jury examined a total of over 1800 images, after which sixty-eight artists were asked to submit two paintings for the second round. 00The Royal Award for Modern Painting is presented at the Royal Palace Amsterdam. This is also the venue for the annual exhibition that accompanies the presentation.
