Reality Bites

Africa is home to millions of people who can only be described as masters of survival. Among them are remarkable individuals who have excelled in the most challenging of environments. Yet the story that comes out of Africa are often ones of war and hunger. Reality Bites shifts this focus. For a decade, the authors - two journalists and a photographer - have crisscrossed Africa to visit many of the hotspots. But rather than letting themselves be absorbed by the misery, they have looked for people who insist on making a difference.
