Library use

This book is intended as an introduction to library research for college students. It will supplement instruction in library research methods provided in the classroom setting. We anticipate that the typical reader will be enrolled in a college course in experimental psychology or research methods or will be engaged in independent study. The book may be used as a supplement to a textbook on research methods and to the American Psychological Association's Publication Manual. It will also be useful to students in other situations involving research projects such as honors papers. Graduate students and faculty may find the information presented about some of the specialized sources to be a useful supplement to their knowledge of bibliographic tools.
