About
Rudolph Blankenburg was born 16 February 1843 in Detmold, Germany. His parents were Louis Blankenburg and Sophie Goede. He emigrated in 1865 and settled in Philadelphia. He married Lucretia Longshore, daughter of Thomas E. Longshore and Hannah Myers, 18 April 1867. They had three daughters. He was the mayor of Philadelphia between 1911 and 1914. He died 17 April 1918.
