Season of Promise Sensible Miss Sarah Sommers and her sister Margaret, a diamond of the first water, were country misses. But they could recognize a true gentleman, and dashing Lord Eustace was simply splendid, gallantly rescuing them when their coach broke down. Their wealthy grandmother, Lady Alverley, a dragon of the "ton", was sponsoring their come- outs, and they had been on the road to London.
