About
"While the historical and theological content of the book is mostly derivative, Dreyer shows imagination and pedagogical skill in bringing it to the level of, and making it spiritually relevant for, a nonacademic audience. Theologians will have some reservations; but for the most part Dreyer manages to avoid the oversimplification and inaccuracy which plague many popularizations. Dreyer is conscious of the significant lacunae in her treatment (in particular with respect to the NT and to contemporary theologies of grace) and invites the reader to further and deeper study."
