About
The autobiography of Christian Brann, who was born in Munich, son of Paul Brann, creator of the world renowned Munich Marionette Theatre whose Jewish ancestry and outspoken views made him the target of Nazi persecution and forced the family to flee to England. There Christian completed his education at the Imperial Service College, Windsor, then served in the British Army and for three years in the Indian Army. After returning to the UK he took part in the political re-education of German prisoners of war who then formed the nucleus of the post-war German government. After demob. Christian spent three years as a stunt driver and finally found his vocation in publishing with Reader's Digest and the Sunday Times. In 1982 he married Mary Rose, with whom he had four children and they now have 10 grandchildren. To them they passed on their strong Christian faith, a love of sailing and a sense of humour even in adversity. Christian and Mary Rose met on the tennis court but flying, sailing and skiing all featured in their leisure pursuits. They have travelled all over the world, much of it in their own yacht. The story of their adventures is told in this book, which was demanded by friends and family who, after listening to some of the anecdotes it contains repeatedly asked: "you must write it all down!" So now, as they approach their diamond wedding anniversary the book has been published to record a life full of hair raising adventures.
