Susan and David were caught up in the social whirl of the expatriate community in Ecuador, but their exciting lifestyle could not disguise their floundering marriage. The two divorced but this did little to solve Susan's difficulties as she began to suffer mysterious dizzy spells and an increasing lack of co-ordination. Shockingly, at the age of 29, she was diagnosed as having a brain tumour and was paralysed following an operation to remove the tumour. Susan's father then died, leaving her bitter. Geoffrey James a fellow resident at the Cheshire Home spoke to her, from his motorized bed, of his belief in a life after death and "all that wonderful eternity ahead".;This book tells her story.
