About
The photographs that comprise this book were made over a period of eight years and in many areas throughout the world, including Southeast locations such as the jungles of Bali, Burma and Vietnam. This series of photographs embraces themes from Greek mythology (the Three Fates, Amazons, Hecate and Medusa) and Buddhism (the cult of Tara). Specifications for a suite of pavilions for the exhibition designed by Robert Wilson are included. Charles A. Riley discusses the mythological and allegorical meanings of the photographs in an essay written in collaboration with the artist.
