Jenny Holzer

Jenny Holzer's portrayal of the city of Frankfurt am Main is one possible response to the loss of the single word within the everyday noise of words. The American artist is famous internationally for her conceptual, poetic works located in the urban space. She shapes a language of dialogue in her light projections that look at the major issues of life that could be engulfed by the bustle of noise and light. This publication documents "For Frankfurt" via many brilliant photographs and the accompanying text provides insight into the conceptual background of the portrayal.
