청풍김씨문중의 족보집으로 구보를 바탕으로 중간한 것이다. 범례와 신범례에 이어 1대 원조 김대유金大猷부터 25대까지 간략한 전기사항을 기술하고 있다. 판봉상사사파判奉常寺事派․청용장군파淸勇將軍派․동정공파同正公派 등으로 분류․기술하고 있으며, 갑․을․병․정․무의 5편으로 구성하고 권과 면수로 상호 연결되게 하였다. 권19-20에 별록과 별편이 실려 있으며, 1637년(인조 15) 김육金堉의 서문과 1638년 김인金寅의 발문, 1715년(숙종 41)의 중수서重修序, 1750년(영조 26) 신간서, 정사년 김학성의 중간서 등이 있다. 소장본은 권1 및 권16-19가 부분적으로 훼손되어 있으며, 권20은 결본이다.
