Pensions & Investments public 100 spreadsheet

Pensions & Investments Public 100 spreadsheet provides the information needed to identify trends of large public pension plans. Data for the top 100 public pension plans is contained for 2005-2010 including funding status, asset allocation, investment returns, assumed rates of return, contributions, and other key plan metrics. All of the data has been collected from the Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (CAFRs) or directly from the pension plan. All of the data pertains to the defined benefit assets only. Some information not contained in the CAFRs was obtained directly from the funds and is only available for 2009. Several plans have not posted their 2009 annual reports.
