About
Bir el Abd was preparing for the governor's coming. The last time an official honored them with his visit went back more than fifteen years, this visit had been the only one since the country had gained its independence. The governor they had been looking forward to had just arrived to be appointed to his post and it was said of him that he was as young as enthusiastic, which probably explained the tour of towns and villages in his governorate including Bir el Abd.
