History of what is considered the most traditional park in the city of Bogotá. Inaugurated by the President Enrique Olaya Herrera in 1934, the natural reserve has now become a hill-river-savannaʺ unit that is now an integral part of the city urban territory. The flora and fauna of the park, the hydric system and the Arzobispo river basin were fundamental elements in the study of this urban place. The historical contributions in Sandra Reina's book go beyond the conventional accounts of the chronology of the National Park; she presents it as an environmental urban fact.
