Gianni Spartà, giornalista, già autore di monografie su protagonisti dell'imprenditoria lombarda, dedica questo volume a Giovanni Borghi, Mister Ignis. Nato nel 1910 all'Isola, quartiere di Milano, terzo di quattro figli di un elettricista, Borghi lascia la città con la famiglia nel 1943 per rifugiarsi a Comerio, vicino a Varese. Qui inizia a produrre fornelli per gli italiani sfollati e, nel giro di dieci anni, il laboratorio diventa uno stabilimento con 200 operai, apre filiali al sud, inizia a sfornare, accanto alle cucine, un elettrodomestico sconosciuto in Italia: il frigorifero. Il successo è travolgente. Con una prefazione di Silvio Berlusconi.
