We endeavored to encompass days past and present. to bulld a foundation for our very brief time as Lake Riverside Estates. This book Is presented to acquaint you with the be-ginnings, development, and posslb1l1tles of these Estates. In the hopes that the basic alms of the first settlers w1ll continue to be the alms of us all -- "TO MAKE LAKE RIVERSIDE A GREAT PLACE TO BE". Try to picture the grandson of the original homesteader here in Parks Valley, where, as a chlld In the early 1920's, he saw a plane (unusual enough In those days) strike an eagle In flight and then make an emergency landing on the area that now Is the airstrip.
