*Private Matters* follows Portia Foster, a twenty-seven-year-old woman struggling to understand the fractured relationships within her family. Even before the death of her father, Portia’s bond with her mother is strained, shaped by distance, control, and unspoken tension. As an adult, she finds herself deeply entangled in her mother’s life, influenced by expectations she has never fully questioned.
