John Haskins (1729-1814), son of Robert Haskins and Sarah Cook, married Hannah Upham in 1752 and lived in Boston, Massachusetts. Their daughter, Ruth, married William Emerson in 1796, and was the mother of Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882).
