How to Improve Your Preaching

Only gifts divinely given, carefully trained, and deeply consecrated, combined with an earnest study of God's Word and a great and burning zeal and passion, will make a man a great preacher. But it is not a man's responsibility to be a great preacher. It is his duty to be the best preacher he can be. To that end he should seek to develop his natural gifts, however limited, and pray earnestly for a full measure of that zeal without which knowledge is dead and for that love without which even the most eloquent of speakers becomes as "sounding brass and tinkling cymbals." - Foreword.
