Winter Harvest

This is a powerful and unusual story of a woman embittered by the failure of a sordid marriage, who seeks consolation for her unhappiness in a defiant unconventionality, shrinking from moral ties, obligations, ideals which she sees as hypocritical and a sham. Lesley Fortesque, the heroine, is a fearless rebel who has the courage of her convictions, and challenges all those who attempt to disprove her theories that love is a mockery, bringing only heartache and tragedy; and that marriage leads inevitably to disillusionment, and the divorce court.
