Gothenburg is a fantastic city - and never before has it been shown in this way. This is a time travel that runs over 400 years - from the time the city received its city privileges from Gustav II Adolf all the way to today's dynamic metropolis. The book's pictures are complemented by Gothenburg connoisseur Kristian Wedel's stories, filled with facts, observations and anecdotes. Kristian Wedel is a journalist and editor at Göteborg-Posten. He has previously written a dozen different books about Gothenburg. The images have been collected under the concept of Tidernas Göteborg, a collaborative project between the Gothenburg City Museum, the Hasselblad Foundation, the University of Gothenburg, Camera Report, the National Archives, the National Archives of Gothenburg, Gothenburg & Co, Göteborgs-Posten and Bokförlaget Max Ström.
