The Relevant Old Testament

Do you struggle to read the Bible because it seems a little dry and confusing? That used to be me. I knew I was supposed to read it, but I could not wrap my head around it. I said a simple prayer that forever changed my life: "Dear God, if you want me to read your Word, please help me to understand it." Almost instantly, my understanding of God's word and my relationship with Him changed forever. Throughout this book, you'll explore the characters of the Old Testament and be invited to see them with a fresh pair of eyes. I want to show you that the Old Testament is full of rich meaning and vibrant stories. It is truly a delight that my soul looks forward to every day. I want the Bible to be alive and active for you, dear reader. Dear Lord, Thank you for the beautiful soul who picked up this book. I ask that they would study your word, hear your voice more clearly and see you moving more often so that they can follow you in this life and the next. Open their eyes to your power, grace, mercy, and perfect love. I pray that they would desire you more than anything else this world has to offer. I pray that their journey in Your word would not end here. Carry them through to your perfect will, dear Lord. In Jesus' name, amen.
