About
Thine Be the Glory is an album dedicated to the glory of God. The numbers included range from the moving sonorities of Bach's "O Sacred Head Now Wounded" to the quaint testimony of the southern folk hymn, "Saints Bound for Heaven." They display the almost limitless variations of beauty, timbre, and power of the brasses, but all are designed to speak to the heart. Add to these musical factors the consideration that the musicians are performing for the glory of God, and one can understand why the strains speak so eloquently of the Saviour. The recording of the selections is the result of a group effort by the faculty and students of the division of music at Bob Jones University. - Back cover.
