At an early age, the artistic farmer's son Jöns Ljungdalen had the opportunity to train as a box maker in Stockholm. When he returned to Härjedalsfjällen in 1761, he brought with him the new Rococo style that not only impressed the area's population but also left its mark on the landscape's interior design art for two centuries.
