The work is an interesting and original approach which spans various times and places of the different facets of art education and artistic training in an effort to rethink art education in Mexico. A useful book not only to art and art history specialists but also to those interested in education. Anthology of images from the photographic collection of Armando de Maria yCampos and presently in the possession of the CITRU. The valuable collection holds more than1300 images related to famous personages from the theater in Mexico spanning from 1870 to1944. INBA bought the collection in 2003 and has been digitally restoring them since. The book comprises a selection of 275 images presented each in two parallel plates: the computerrestored images and in the original hand illuminated plates, some in deteriorating condition.
